San Lorenzo beats Boca 2-1; Arsenal leads table
San Lorenzo won 2-1 at 10-man Boca Juniors in the Argentine Apertura on Saturday, with second-half goals from Sebastian Balsas and Juan Menseguez. Balsas headed the opener in the 52nd minute and Menseguez scored the second in the 88th. Martin Palermo pulled a goal back for Boca in stoppage time. San Diego State shuts down Nicholls State 47-0
Ryan Lindley threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns as San Diego State opened its season with a 47-0 victory over Nicholls State on Saturday night. Lindley, who completed 17-of-26 passes, threw two TDs, 71 and 18 yards, to DeMarco Sampson. Sampson caught seven passes for 179 yards, a school record for an opening game.
